Senior PHP Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using PHP and Node.js (NestJS)
• Build and support compliance-related systems: KYC/AML workflows, transaction monitoring, regulatory reporting, audit logs
• Integrate with third-party services (KYC providers, payment systems, banks) via APIs and webhooks
• Participate in the full development lifecycle: from requirements analysis to deployment and support
• Collaborate closely with the compliance team and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to code reviews, refactoring, and continuous improvement of code quality
• Support and modernize legacy PHP services
• Use AI tools to improve development speed, code quality, and testing

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in backend development
• Strong experience with PHP (Laravel or similar frameworks preferred)
• Working experience with Node.js (NestJS is a plus)
• Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations
• Familiarity with CI/CD, testing, code reviews, and Agile practices
• English level C1 or higher (daily communication with international teams)
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and work in a fast-paced environment
• Practical experience using AI tools in development workflows

Nice to have:

• Experience in fintech / KYC / AML / compliance domains
• Basic frontend knowledge (React)
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
